Dr. William Latimer was interviewed by News 12 anchor Jessica Cunnington on the significance of President Trump’s Executive Order on Health Care. President Trump has announced that he would stop subsidy payments that constituted a key structural component of the Affordable Care Act, allowing insurance providers to keep premiums low.
Dean Latimer discussed the significance of possible elimination of health care subsidies to New York City families: “The potential ramifications of elimination of the subsidies would be absolutely substantial and that needs to be stated clearly. If those subsidies are taken away, then, potentially, hundreds of thousands in NYC… would potentially be at risk to lose their health care coverage because they’re relying on those subsidies in order to get [affordable] health care.”
